Exposing the Unders: The Parisian

Hi All!

Today I have another exposing the under for you! And this one is on a bra that was definitely a favourite to many! My Parisian Bra

This bra is definitely one of the more dainty, delicate and pretty things that I’ve made 🙂 So let’s dive in and expose what it’s made of!

An overview of the first page: It’s an underwire bra, and it uses plunge/push up wires- (I used my plunge wires)

It’s a full band bra with the channeling turning away from the cups.

And the primary seam is a diagonal seam from the  underarm to the wireline.

Now to the nitty gritty:

I re-drew the neckline to show that it’s more of a plunging style. The diagonal seam is very direct and straight (because the upper cup piece is a straight piece which make it easier for ruching).

Otherwise it’s actually a very simple bra, ruched on the upper cup with the binding  neckline edge made with bra tulle.

All 3/8″ picot elastic in black, and all other black accents!

I always find that when I deconstruct all of my favourite bras, they’re all so simple underneath all the little details! It’s just a great way to break down the whole construction of a bra.

Have you used the Exposing the Unders worksheet on any bras yet? How did you find it?

I love to hear from you!

I adore this bra and thank you so much for giving us a little more insight into the making process! Any estimate yet on when you’ll be releasing patterns? I need this one! 😀

Thanks so much Tiffany! I don’t have any set dates right now, but lots of plans and things in the works 🙂 and this bra definitely makes the list of ‘pattern worthy’ 🙂
