This is the final round-up for Me-Made-May!! Can you believe it’s June already!!
Day 24 was my Bra-A-Week challenge day- so I wore my swimsuit
from that week! I love this one- it’s my prettiest suit! Super ruffled!
This was a day for some pretty jewelry- I made this necklace last year 🙂 I really miss jewelry making- I should do it more!
Day 26 I wore this fuchsia and grey lace bra from Week 8
of the challenge, I realize that while I like it, I’m not in love with the shape- it needs a little more work before I would wear it under knits.
On Day 27 I wore these nautical sailor shorts
! Mom made this for me a couple years ago and I love them, they’re very light- and the buttons are pretty!
This was another jewelry day- this is actually one my sister made with all these bead flowers cascading down- I love it over this simple navy shirt!
This was my day of an indie pattern make! I made this dress from Sew Caroline- a light summer option! and I did a post on it
It was a Saturday for strappy bras! and I wore this one from Week 4
of my challenge!
And finally the last day of May was also Week 20
of the challenge and I wore my latest suit! A bikini with a rashguard crop top! I am so in love with this suit!
Well I can’t believe that May is over. May has been an absolutely incredible month for me, truly unbelievable. And I’ve loved wearing all of my me-made things! It’s made me realize how many things I’ve been able to make over the last couple years and how much progress I’ve made!
I think it also made me realize a couple things that I’m missing from my wardrobe- I’m missing some simple tops, and I would like to make some shorts for the summer too!
The challenge has also given me the chance to explore some indie patterns. I have to say that my favourite pattern so far is the Nettie from Closet Case Files. It’s not usual that I buy patterns, and that I’ve already used it three times is incredible- it is truly a staple in my pattern library now! but I’ve really liked all the patterns that I tired and I’ve still got my eye on a few that I didn’t get a chance to make!
Did you participate in Me-Made-May? What did you learn from your month?
Hope you’re having a lovely first day of June!
Week 3 of Me-Made-May, and it was quite a spectacular week if I do say so myself!!
This was a day for lovely morning with my favourite summer pjs
!! I wore my cute pj set that I made from the Sorbetto top pattern and bloomer bottoms that were a modified pattern taken from RTW.
This was my day of being a bombshell goddess! After taking the photos for this suit for Week 18 of Bra-A-Week
, I stayed in it for a while, just lounging with the gorgeous weather!
It’s like picking a favourite child, but I think this might be my favourite swim suit so far!
It was another glorious day in Ontario and I thought I would do a little sun bathing mermaid style
! (in the shade as a responsible pale person does- although it looks like Gibby got a little sun in his eyes!)
This was my day to wear some home-made jewelry, I love the super indie feel of this necklace, fun and delicate 🙂
This was a day for lots of computer work, which means home-made sweat pants all the way!
I thought I would highlight one of my most used hand-made items- and that is this laptop case that my mom made me! It has a super handy pocket on the front for papers and my planner and I love the nautical feel 🙂
My indie pattern make of the week! I know I was supposed to branch out and try new patterns but I saw this pattern hack
for the Nettie over at Closet Case Files on making an off-the-shoulder Nettie and I knew I needed one in a crop-top version! I love it!!
The post on this top is coming tomorrow!!
Yay! I’ve been loving this Me Made May! It reminds me of how much work I’ve done this year, how many beautiful things I’ve made, and how lucky I am to be doing all of this 🙂
How is your MMMay 2015?
Here is my Week 2 round-up for Me Made May!
Another fun afternoon at the beach!
with the puppy of course 🙂 he’s a very curious puppy!
This was at the Beamer trail in Grimsby- the same one I visited this fall! The pup loved it!
On day 12 I wore this cute charm bracelet that I made last year- it’s my sea-charms bracelet with all the cool blues and silver 🙂 It’s also the day that all of our lilacs bloomed!
On Day 13 I wore my favourite bra- which bra is my favourite you may ask- well it’s this lace ivory bra from Week 7. It’s strange, I didn’t even make this one with myself in mind originally- I made this for a bridal lingerie feel for a photoshoot with my boudoir photographer friend- but it ended up being my go-to bra.
On Day 14 we had a bit of a cold snap- and it was into these cosy PJs my mom made for me from a vintage pattern!
Convincing the Gibby that my sleep mask is not his new toy.
And the exciting final day where I have a new indie pattern make! And I’m wearing last week’s indie pattern make in this photo too! But this week is all about this top- which is actually a body suit- the very popular Nettie from Closet Case Files!
I chose to do the high neck, 3/4 sleeves and low back version out of this beautiful stretch navy fabric!
I love it!! And I’m going to be doing a full post on this tomorrow! How are you all enjoying your Me Made May?
What was your pledge?
Happy Friday 🙂
Some of you might have noticed the little Me-Made-May 2015 badge over on my side bar meaning that I’m participating in Me-Made-May this year!! I did it last year and I totally loved it- so I thought that I would do it again!
My pledge this year is pretty similar to last year and it includes:
1. Wearing a different me-made item every day of May
2. Posting weekly round up- pictures on all the Fridays
3. Including all of the bras that I’ve made in my challenge! 🙂
And the most exciting of them all!!……..
4. Every Friday (except the first that I missed, oooops) I’m going to wear an item that I made from a new indie pattern!
So here we go!! Here are the first 8 days of May!!
This fun little number is my bra from Week 11
of my Bra-A-Week Challenge! Yay for mirror selfies!
I made this top last year, copying it off of a cheap tank-top I bought at the mall!
I like that it’s a high-low style, and goes well with the gold zippers on my pants.
And I wore it under this lace-isn sheer top, so you could see all the colours showing through and the double strap on the shoulder!
A beach day!! and I wore this really pretty red, green and gold flower bracelet that I made 🙂 I love spring fashion!!
This was an on-the-go day! and I needed my handy, holds-everything, green bag- that is still chic enough for meetings!
Mom actually made me this bag a few years ago!
On day 6 I was feeling like wearing some pretty high-waisted underwear 🙂 These ones from my Coral Set from Week 1
Was a day for being around the house- and a hot day around the house! So I thought I’d just wear one of my bralettes 🙂 they are staples- this is my Canadian Winter Bralette from Week 3
Me working away at my laptop in the summer-like heat!
And here I have my final day of the week round-up and my new indie pattern make of this week!! These are the Alexandria Peg Trousers from Named Clothing
– and I’m absolutely in love with them! I’m just loving indie patterns right now! And this is the push I need to make some!
Perfect for a day at the beach! I’m going to be doing a post on the making of these tomorrow, and put up a pattern review as well! <3
