I made this top using my self-drafted bralette pattern (the one I used for my Canadian Winter Bralette and my Spring bralette) and I have to say I think I’m getting a little obsessed!
This pattern is just so easy and so comfy! Perfect for swimwear! I love that it has a little more coverage and is a little more secure than a bikini too! Don’t have to worry about a nip-slip when you’re doing your laps! And there’s a little more surface to show off an amazing print!
Fantastic picture of the back, showing just how windy it was, and how unmanageable my hair was being! (and of course that beautiful beach, California.. come back to me!!) And I love the solid panel in the back- I feel like it’s slimming.
I knew as soon as I found the fabric that it had to be a bralette bikini! And where better to enjoy it than on the beach- poking through the tide pools!
A starfish that my dad and I found in the tide pools, and an anemone! So much beautiful sea life! So you can imagine me, on that beautiful beach in California, poking through the tide pools with my dad taking pictures!
Diana made this bionic using this great black snake skin printed spandex, with a horizontal seam across the cups and a very narrow bridge in the front.
She also added this super cute strap detail with a triangle of stretch mesh! Perfect way to add that pop of colour! Don’t forget to check out Diana’s post on her bikini!
This is her Pink Keyhole bra- what a stunner! The first in her Spring/Summer series- and a very promising start! Karin made this bra with a beautiful shell pink silk and lace powerbar, bridge and back band! With the lacy pants to match 🙂
And the very special detail of this bra is the keyhole bridge with the beautiful drop pearl dangling in the keyhole! So elegant! Don’t forget to check out Karin’s post on her bra over on her blog!!
Leah made this set for a friend’s Bachelorette party and a ‘guess the lingerie giver’ game! So much fun! She used black lace and red fold over elastic and some red ribbon for the back lacing! Super sexy!
Got to love that lacing in the back! Don’t forget to check out Leah’s post about this set over on her blog!
This is Christie’s April Flowers bra! She made it using a non-stretch embroidered tulle lace from a modified self-drafted pattern. How pretty is this!
She added a lot of beautiful elements too- like a 15 denier lining and internal power bar. She also made it a long-line bra with a little boning in the sides so it would lay smooth and beautiful! Lovely!
This is Sofia’s ‘Anita bra’ and her first self drafted underwire bra! Beautiful!! She used a low-stretch white lace for the cups, lined with sheer cup lining and a pretty dotted stretch mesh for the back band!
Finished with some pretty black elastics to set it ofF- very lovely! And she even managed a great fit on her first try! Bravo Sofia!! Don’t forget to check out Sofia’s post about this bra on her blog!
Anne made this bra using MA style cups from Bra-maker’s Supply and this beautiful ivory lace that she used on the bottom of the cups and for the band. A perfect style for a smooth look through knit tops!
She told me the lace placement on the cups were inspired by my Week 5 ivory foam cup and pink lace bra! I’m so flattered that I could inspire you! 🙂 And you did such a beautiful job!!
Jodi made this bra off of one of her favourite RTW bras, with a few tweaks. She used a sheer black rigid lace, a flowered satin for the frame and powernet for the back! She said she feels like a million bucks in it- and I can see why! Absolutely gorgeous!!
David made this bra with black foam cups and black lace, with pretty pink ribbon details! He also used the black lace for the cradle and the back band! Very pretty!

Kerri made this covered foam bikini as part of a ‘Top and Tanga’ set. She used this super fun animal print for the cups and set it off perfectly with black binding and straps! Perfect for the beach this summer!!

There are lots of lovely entries this week, and a huge variety of designs! I really like the black lace bra from Jodi, it's so delicate and elegant!
But, definitely, I'm fascinated by Karin's Pink Keyhole bra. The whole set is amazing, the fabric combination is delightful, and above all,the pearl detail! OH, the pearl detail!! <3
Oh I know- isn't that pearl just gorgeous! I want pearls on all my bras now! 🙂 🙂
So many lovely submissions again. Just beautiful. What really jumped out at me was the polka dot mesh! I love it!

Another great bathing suit Erin! Awesome submissions this week again — I'm so eager to get back to sewing bras (way too busy with spring tasks at the moment) soon.

Beautiful bikini top Erin! All entries are beautiful as always – I love lace bras. Karin, you have the eye for making beautiful sets. Ginny, I feel for you…. I'm busy with fall/winter sewing, but I also wish to make another bra – maybe a winter set?
