Supper Sunday: Quiche

Hi All!

This Sunday I have quiche for you! I love quiche for dinner, but it is also a really great lunch/brunch to serve to company. This is very versatile recipe- so I will give you the recipe I made this time specifically but you should know that you can put pretty much anything in this quiche.

Quiche

1 pastry shell (I used my pastry recipe)

6 eggs
1 cup cream (I use table cream 18%, but you can go a little lighter)

3 bratwurst sausages cut into pieces and cooked
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 small portobello mushroom, chopped
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
3/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

Mix up your egg and cream, then once you have all your stuff chopped- all you have to do is place it in the pie shell! This is the order that I chose- which you don’t have to follow although I would recommend putting the cheese on the top!

Peppers & mushrooms

Then the spinach

Then the sausage

Then the cheese!

Then you pour the egg mixture over the top

And bake it in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes, then 350 for 30 minutes. and Voila! A yummy quiche!

I actually served this for brunch to the parents, my sister and her bf- and everybody loved it and most took seconds!

As I said before this is just one combination of ingredients- some of my other favourites are:

bacon – green onions – peppers – cheddar cheese (especially served as breakfast)
hot italian sausage – peppers – spinach – cheddar cheese
chicken – asparagus – onions – feta
chicken – broccoli – mushrooms – cheddar

but the combinations are really endless- put whatever you like/have in there!

Hope you are all having a scrumptious Sunday!!
