I love a high-waist, high-leg vintage-style panty.
I have finally perfected my Watson bikini modifications, and now the world is my oyster! I like a classic fit, but I’m excited to try a sassy key hole back detail now. The #sewpantyparty has lit a fire under me, and I have so many new things to try!
My absolute fave panty style is a traditional high cut bikini, I’ve been crushing on the Frankie Panties by EvieLaLuve. The fit is better than perfect. ❤️

The bikini is my fave. I also love the Watson bikini fit (as your other comments have mentioned).
My favorite depends, but usually a low-hipster type or the high-waisted granny. Actually love the fit of the ‘granny’ style but… since I tend to wear jeans/shorts so often, I need to stick with the lower-waisted styles so I that I don’t give everyone behind me a clear view of my undies. I’ve tried to learn to like thongs… and just can’t do it.
My go to is high cut but I’ve been known to wear granny panties too.
I’m quite taken with the hipster style. Excellent for those with swayback and a low pelvis
I like panties that are bigger than bikinis and smaller than granny panties. I made my first pair last weekend, and hope to make another pair this weekend!

I do not have one favourite style. It depends on what I will be wearing: skinny jeans need a string, comfy joggers ask for hipsters. Tricot dress prefers highwaisted, etc.
I like to have a choice, so with every bra I make, I make 2 or 3 different styles of undies.

I don’t think I have a favourite style of panty….I like them all! As long as they fit well, that is. I have a selection of styles in my lingerie drawer, frequently more than one to match a bra. Because I’m all about the matchy-matchy thing!

Thongs are my usual go to however when it a lounge around home with a long t kind of day a nice bikini works a treat!
My usual favourite for many years has been a thong with good front coverage….but I’m working on a new mash-up that might be even more comfortable. We’ll see 😉

I’m like Angela – love my granny panties but need to wear something lower waisted so they aren’t seen when my shirt & jeans decide it’s gap time! Either that or make them so pretty that I don’t care who sees them. This may be the kick in the pants I need to make my own.
I’m a sucker for a good brief style
I like a thong for dress up but wear a granny pantie most days.
I wore bikinis for years – trying to find the most luxurious fabrics available – silky as possible. Then, a few surgeries made any elastic across my lower abdomen impossible – full panties – 100% cotton. Then, they packaged them in toxic plastic bags, which migrated into the fabric = returned. Currently, full panties but seamless stretchy. I am ready to make some with fabric that wicks – super soft, still full panties, but fitted without being too snug – love the fold-over elastic – so different from the old-fashioned burn your skin white elastic that shrinks a lot. I have not tried bamboo fabric – this is lovely. Congrats to the winner!
Cheeky hipsters and boyshorts are the best, can’t stand anything tight on my waist, love all the highwaist styles that would drive me CRAZY to actually wear.
I used to love low waisted thongs, but after taking a class and making a pair of high waisted granny panties,I might be a convert!
Ideally, I’d be able to wear tap pants under everything. Not always the most practical. 😉
I enjoy old school French high-cut briefs, the best of both worlds (grannie panty comfort with bikini-like style)…they are harder to find commercially so I should sew them!

Hipsters are my fav
Soft stretchy cotton lycra full briefs are my fave! No creeping or crawling and no yucky sweaty feeling. Even better if the leg and waistbands are cotton/lycra too – no elastic (and they are much easier to make that way).
High waisted for me
I love lzce and silk in a sultry style – usually bikini style based. Tried a thong but found it rather uncomfortable

I like high waisted retro pants or tap pants, but as a beginner sewist I usually wear boring RTW briefs. (lol- autocorrect converts sewist to sexist)

I prefer hipsters, as I dislike elastic around my waist. I’ve never tried tap pants, but the idea is intriguing.

I love a hipster with legs finished in stretch lace trim for every day. For teaching yoga, I like to wear laser cut edge hipsters so I get full coverage under my leggings but no panty lines!
I’m a hip-hugger, boy-shorts girl (super comfy and no VPL!), but I’m thinking I should add some high-waisted panties to the mix for whenever I wear clothing that hits at the waist. Is there such a thing as high-waisted boy-shorts? lol

Hi Erin – I’ve been sewing up some different styles lately – trying to find the perfect fit – some Watson bikinis, but I’ve had to add to the top; Hipsters altered for high cut leg fronts; and now I just bought the Frankie panty pattern – sewing it up today! I also like the Fehr Trade lacy thong – when I’m wearing a special outfit. Thanks for the contest – I’m loving that fabric – and the colour is sooo Spring!
I am still looking for the perfect no pantyline undies! I am all for comfort and with a latex allergy, I really need to start making my own! So far, my fav are Jalie bikini with fold over elastic. LOVE the modal I got from you! Sooo soft you just want to wrap yourself in the fabric, never mind cutting it down!

I prefer thongs for most situations, but enjoy making low-rise cheeky styles too. Adding some ruching on the back or an extra design element for comfy lounging around panties is always fun!

Ha, I’m a brief kind of gal. Other styles are pretty, but there’s just nothing ladylike about digging out a wedgie, and I’m not the type of person who can tolerate one for any period of time. Gotta know your limits! 😉
I am all about the briefs – comfort is key – but I do edge mine with 1″ stretch lace instead of elastic, for the pretty and the comfy (as it’s wider – it’s great)

Hipster briefs for me in quick drying fabric and stretch lace elastic. Great for bringing on vacation as made this way they dry overnight. I look forward to your posts. Keep them coming. Awesome giveaway Erin – thanks for making it so easy! 😉 I tend to stick with “granny panties” simply because everything else I’ve tried ends up in a wedgie. haha
Not so much a particular style, but they must fit well, (I never realized this was so possible until I started making my own), and be mostly made from natural fibres. So, that means any style that is comfortable when worn. Since beginning to go with ‘home made’, so many more styles have appeared in my underwear drawer!

I have bikinis hipsters and regular full briefs…each has a “favourite” outfit I wear them with….I am going to sew a swimsuit with boyshorts and depending on how I like that, I may add a few of those to the mix.
Bikinis for me as an everyday pair but tap pants are great for special occasions!
I like hipsters most of the time, but wear briefs more often now that I am wearing more high-waisted pants and skirts.
Pretty bikinis and silky tap pants for me~!
